Book Donation Policy

Our Commitment

Cherry Lake Publishing Group is dedicated to promoting literacy and fostering a love for reading among children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. We have a long-standing tradition of donating high-quality children’s books to charitable organizations that share our commitment to childhood literacy.

Eligibility Criteria

We welcome book donation requests from non-profit organizations that meet the following criteria:

1. Nonprofit Status: The organization must be a certified 501©(3) nonprofit with a primary mission focused on literacy.
2. Target Audience: Our donations are intended for direct distribution to children and youth who are:
   
   • ○ At-risk
   • ○ Underprivileged
   • ○ Facing socioeconomic challenges
   • ○ In communities with limited access to books
3. Program Focus: We prioritize organizations with structured literacy programs that directly benefit the target audience.

Important Notes

We do not provide books for:

1. Raffles, auctions, or fundraising events
• ○ Gift baskets or goody bags
• ○ General use in public or private schools (as most schools are our customers)
2. Our goal is to reach readers who might not otherwise have access to quality books.

How to Request a Donation

Eligible organizations can submit a donation request by:

Preparing documentation that includes:

1. Proof of 501©(3) nonprofit status
2. A brief description of your literacy program
3. Information on how and the timeframe in which the books will be distributed to children in need

Using the subject line: “Book Donation Request – [Your Organization Name]”

We ask that you only submit one donation request per calendar year. We review all requests and will contact you if we need additional information or when a decision has been made.
